as i have said before, winreducer has a “beta” status and is not 100% complete. however, its really easy to use and the developer has really helped us users in finding bugs and working through some of the issues. we really dont have enough experience with this software as its still too new but the possibilities are more than cool. it will also be great for all of our windows 8 customers, whether it be business or home users.

so what if you already use nlite? simple if its not installed in your drive, copy all the 1.5 files and plug the older version of nlite back into your system. its not quite as easy to port changes done in vlite however. vlite is really just a frontend for nlite thats all, so dont give up your existing nlite install, for what its worth it will work a treat.

so the last question is do you need winreducer? well there are a few reasons to have a winreducer disk is the fact that most windows installations just have their initial windows login screen settings hard coded. you dont know the language you are going to use or what brand of computer you have. winreducer allows you to pre-configure windows installation media allowing you to set all the language options and so on. another reason to have winreducer is if you have more than one operating system on a computer. winreducer lets you set up the installation media so that in a situation like this for example:

in winreducer, the first step is to select your windows version. you arent limited to xp, vista, or 7, you can use anything you like really, except windows 8. well, you can actually use windows 8, but we strongly advise against it.

the dotnet clean command cleans the output of the previous build. it’s implemented as an msbuild target, so the project is evaluated when the command is run. only the outputs created during the build are cleaned. both intermediate (obj) and final output (bin) folders are cleaned.
the thing i really like about winreducer ex-100 is its strong emphasis on simplicity. it will do exactly what you ask it to do as soon as you tell it to do it. as well as removing components, it also lets you change settings or add more files and folders to your install disc.
this allows you to quickly remove unwanted features without going through the process of editing a list of configuration files. the main benefit here is that you can simply add any folder you want on the install disc, which isn’t possible when working with nt lite.
winreducer is much more robust than nt lite. while nt lite lets you do changes on the fly, winreducer enables you to actually disable things in your system. to do this, you tell winreducer to remove a component or remove a file. if you want to remove a component, you just tell winreducer to remove it. alternatively, if you want to remove a file, you tell winreducer what you want it to remove. the best way to use winreducer is to look at what it removes when you install windows and add any components that might be missing from your install. if you want to add anything that has windows store apps or a certain collection of files such as a music or photo folder, you just tell winreducer what to add.
additionally, winreducer may help you to remove some unwanted components that only windows 10 offers. for example, winreducer may remove the windows hello feature if you do not use it. finally, winreducer will help you to get additional system and printer drivers if they are not installed by default. this can be useful because you may want to add wifi or lan drivers, or maybe the bluetooth drivers.
