* the installer can be downloaded from the microsoft website. to download the 64-bit installer to your computer, go to the download page at the microsoft site and select the correct version for your architecture, 32-bit or 64-bit. then click the blue download button and follow the prompts from the installer.

microsofts 64-bit pae (physical address extension) drivers on the cd are less powerful, much less robust, and not officially supported. don’t rely on them to work and definitely don’t run untrusted code from those drivers. the windows 64-bit software development kit has these drivers, and they work fine on x64 systems. if you do have to use them, make sure you only load them when required (e.g. if you’re using windows 64-bit software) and make sure they get turned off after use.

the 64-bit installer will automatically recognize your processor type and set up the processors 32-bit or 64-bit compatibility mode. although a 64-bit program can run faster than its 32-bit counterpart, you cant take advantage of this until the application runs the correct library functions. if your processor is 64-bit capable, it will work with the 64-bit installer, but if not, it will only run in 32-bit compatibility mode.

the x64 windows directory is the 64-bit equivalent of the 32-bit windows directory. the x64-based versions of windows (e.g. windows 7) can be installed on your hard drive using one of two installers. the installer media contains these drivers and is used on the installation media when the x64 version is installed, so you don’t need to download them.

the include paths to the modules are simply because i’m using cmake which requires the paths to all the modules as such it means that the include path is pretty much useless. perhaps you could give a little bit more details as to what these errors mean. you never mention what these errors are. perhaps this is a duplicate of a different question you posted.
i just installed numpy 1.7.1. everything works ok. however, when i installed numpy and scipy i also need to upgrade all the packages to python 3.3. i guess that all the time i need to do this make sure that all the updates to packages will be python 3.1 versions, or python 3.3 versions. this is a lot of work, especially when i install python 2.2. i am not the only one who is having this problems. i guess it would be good if a search engine will able to do this thing automatically.
