The study, published in the Proceedings of the Royal Society B, tested 20 women who suffered from post-traumatic stress disorder. They were all given a combination of intravenous oxytocin and endoxifen, a drug that reduces anxiety, to see if they had different responses.
Significantly, the women did not have any significant changes in mood or anxiety after their infusion, suggesting that the body does not differentiate between intimacy and rejection.
The findings are important because it can inform previous studies that have found women with high levels of rejection also have high levels of stress and anxiety.

The robots in the park work cooperatively and competitively. A child will engage with them and make choices using menus on the interface, similar to the menu options in the game Connect 4 (The game is often played by children to learn programming). The child then is able to change the environment, make choices for the robots (such as “Follow/Do not Follow”) and then watches the game unfold in real time.
Robot-Park’s interface is simple in order to create a user friendly learning environment for a diverse group of learners.
The types of interactions are active choices to the children, decisions to make and things that will happen in the park. Unlike other programs where there are sets and loops or while and for loops, in Robot-Park the children can choose the blocks and objects they can see or need (for example, if they see a treasure or a vices they can click on them) and see what happens to them or the robots in the park.
When children design Robot-Park they are able to choose their own background music for their program, and can include lyrics to the song they selected. They are also able to have a book or story read aloud to them, giving more insight into the virtual world.
