this update is not only a graphical update, but also adds many additional features to the simulator. this update adds many improvements to the flight model and adds many additional features. i upgraded my system to windows 10, and i have not encountered any problems or memory leaks. fortunately, my software detects most problems that p3d has, and p3d can work without any problems. i upgraded to a new laptop and from windows 7 to windows 10.
this version of mdsd las americas intl. has many elements added to it that if it were to be loaded in p3d v5.1 you will suffer from vram memory loss unless you operate a high-end computer. prepar3d v5.2 can handle all the pbr textures i have added and the newly created clutter around the airport. i had this update on standby and luckily now with v5.2, i can release a fully detailed airport.
rtmod by rtmod created for use in flight sim x ( fsx ) version 1.0 file title: fsx conversion of rtmod mappack for fsx rtmod ( original by rtmod ) unzip the the zip and create a folder called rtmodv1. turn off your flight simulator when you are done creating the mods. then copy the mod files into the rtmodv1 folder. now launch your flight simulator and select the rtmod folder. a message should pop up asking whether you want to open the files in the folder. press yes. your airport should now have a new mini-map. remember to leave the mod folder in the rtmodv1 folder and running your simulator while you play.
so here’s the free update to p3d 4. once again our file library has a huge number of free files to help you create your p3d4 mods. just visit that page when you are ready to make your own download. you can either download a zip file or just click on the one you want directly. the sim should automatically start up and allow you to unzip it into a folder on the hard drive. you should be able to access all the files in the folder, including the airport file. you can also make the change yourself. the update is just a download. click on this link, click on download (right click), then choose save target and save the file to your hard drive. now quit the game, and the download and install the updater. select install updates and hit enter. you can then restart the sim.
