Do I need to take the integrity of data into consideration when switching back to Postgres from Oracle?

I have been working on the import of a Oracle schema into Postgres 9.3. I have not been successful. No version of Oracle supplied DDL is accepted by Postgres, and even if the data is prepared my DDL statements are rejected.
We then had to switch back to Oracle, as we need to do some more tests before releasing a new version.
The main issue seems to be that Oracle has recently changed the way it encodes data. Oracle now claims that all embedded NULLs in a column are considered as NOT NULL. Any change in the replication from a different source has to be made by myself because it is an automated process.
My question is, will these changes cause any problems when migrating back to Postgres? Any DDL must be prepared with two different ways of encoding NULL?
If it is OK to just execute the DDL with Oracle NULLs as NOT NULL as they are now, how is it normally done?

A:

Probably not very much, because Postgres has its own NULLs. You just tell it to use a different type of NULL (Null instead of – for example.)
But the real problem is that the current way of encoding NULLs in Oracle is inferior to the way it was encoded in the past.
You can use:
CREATE TABLE some_table (
some_column NOT NULL
);

If you don’t want the column to be nullable, you can specify NULL:
CREATE TABLE some_table (
some_column NULL
);

If you want the column to be nullable, you can specify both NULL and NOT NULL:
CREATE TABLE some_table (
some_column NULL,
some_column NOT NULL
);

If you want to say that NULL is OK, but you don’t want Postgres to treat Null as a special case, you need to say so explicitly:
CREATE TABLE some_table (
some_column NULL
