Sitting in a canyon in the mountains of Northern America, a mysterious power gives birth to powerful creatures – a Wolf, a Lion, a Panda, a Frog, a Toad, a Seal, a Crane, a Newt, a Beetle. These ferocious critters are far too powerful for their size and must be hidden. Legend has it that these creatures will one day grow to be a danger to all the creatures living in the world. Unless the legends are true and all of these creatures are destroyed.Q:

Flask – how to deal with changes on the web

I’m building a Flask app. It makes requests to different api and it receives data and updates a database with the data it receives.
There is a problem: when the user adds a new field to an existing item it updates it on the DB and then the API is updated. So, if the user has a list of items and he adds an item to that list, the API is updated and then the DB is updated again.
And when the user edit an item he updates it on the DB.
But this is not so good because

if he edits and saves an item on the same item on the DB it has the same data, but the api has been updated.
if he adds a new item on the DB, the API is updated and then the user gets an error.

Is there a better way to do this?

A:

Better way to do it is to have separated sources.
Receiving data from the api, and updating db are two different functions of your code. So when you receive data from api, you update db. But when you update data of an item, your code should not perform the update on the db. Instead, you should have a service that is initiated when the user updates the data in db.
The HTTP request is synchronous with the DB update. But in your case, if you are handling many people at the same time (like web app), then there might be chances that when you receive the request from a user, db has already been updated. In such a case, you should ask the API server to do another update, and let the user know that the request failed. You can detect the sync sync issue in your code.

Don’t Give Up is a run casual survival game.
It’s a funny and challenging survival game about grief, life and death.
The game is based on a survival sandbox mechanics, where you have different resources you can gather.
You can’t wander around, because your body is mortal.
Your body won’t make it if you go down and you can’t hold onto your shadow, because you are a ghost.
    About your shadow:
To prevent your body from disintegrating, your are provided with a soul that grants you the ability to move and use your body (well, as much as it can). Your body needs to be close enough for your shadow to connect with it, so you need to manage the speed of your movement and move fast enough for your shadow to be in range. When your body is not close enough, your shadow will try to find a new one and if it’s not able to it will disappear and you’ll have to start over.
That’s why the game is all about managing your body and your shadow.
    About your environment:
Don’t Give Up is set in a very hostile and dangerous world. Your body can’t protect you from bad weather, wildlife or other players.
There are no other players, so in order to survive you’ll need to craft weapons, collect resources and figure out how to get out of dangerous and life-threatening situations. You are also put against enemies that pursue you and want to steal your resources.
    About your shadow:
Your shadow is a half alive animated copy of your body, and your shadow will be able to interact with the world and with things you own, but won’t be able to pass through solid objects.
To maintain your body in a good shape, you have to manage resources and craft weapons and tools in order to face your enemies, other players, the threats of nature and reclaim your soul. To do that, you need to develop the tools you craft and put them to good use.
    About your tools:
You have basic tools, but some objects are much more complex.
There are different types of tools you can craft.
    Crafting Weapons
All of the weapons you craft have the ability to damage enemies and break objects, and they can be crafted with a variety of materials.
    Crafting tools
You can craft all kinds of tools with a variety of materials you find on the world.
    Crafting Ammunition
You can craft weapons using ammunition. Ammunition can be found on the world or crafted.
