the nature of spin excitations was studied by inelastic neutron scattering. the energy spectrum measured at 5 k is shown in fig. 7. in the momentum range from 0.1 to 1.5 å−1, we observed three spin excitations which we assign to spin-wave excitations. the spin-wave energy gap and the corresponding momentum are estimated to be 0.22 mev and about 1.2 å−1. in addition, we observed additional two spin excitations in the limited momentum range from 1.5 to 2.0 å−1.
