overview before we discuss how to get the most out of this game, we have to look at some of the problems that some people have faced during the installation process. when you start the game you see a loading screen, where it will load a launcher screen. this launcher screen will most likely display a loading screen as well, and is actually a small little program that will help you install the game (most likely a bootloader program) so to install the game just open the inf/ocd file located in the same directory as the launcher screen and run it. the launcher will load the game and once its finished installing the game, close itself and you should see the game menu. so how to get past the loading screen well the problem is, even if you have a cd copy of the game, and if youve looked at my suggestions above, you need a patch of some sort. unless youve applied a patch, the game will not run, and to be honest, unless you know how to use a 3rd party tool, such as drakmic etc.., you cant extract the patch program without it crashing. so if you cannot solve this problem, you can only use a patch, which is not that easy to find (especially if you download the game as a zip file and look for a patch in the normal way) what to do, well if you can get hold of a patch, its the easiest way to get the game running. be aware, you cannot patch the bootloader, only the launcher program. after you install the patch, youll have to update the launcher. to do this, goto the my documents folder (usually your documents folder is c:\documents and settings\your username) and right click on the gamelist.exe file. select send to > other computer and select your xp pc. a window will open and it will ask you if you wish to install the game or just patch it. if you choose install, it will ask you if you wish to install the launcher, or not. after you answer, it will install the game just fine. make sure you do not choose not install the launcher, as it will not actually install the game, it will just patch it. theres a text file located in the same directory as your gamelist.exe (usually c:\documents and settings\your user name\ my documents\gamelist.exe, so if you cant find it, use a search engine) you will have to open this and scroll to where the patch folder is located and extract it. anyways, thats how to get the game running, now you need to read on. ill try and guide you through a bit of what you will find, so you can see what you should and should not do in the game. what you will find is that it is possible to put almost anything in the game. i have filled this page (most of it) with info, so if you need any answers, dont hesitate to shoot me a message.
