I played the demo a while back, and I was pretty impressed by that. It felt pretty big for a demo, and I think that’s something that you could probably tell from that hour of gameplay. It gave you a lot of freedom, and a lot of variety in how you approached encounters, how you approached the story. And maybe more importantly, you felt like you could navigate around those with ease and a lot of little touches helped keep you on the right track. It was pretty cool.
Now, that was a demo. I played it as a demo. It was very much built around giving a sense of what you could do, and about speed. So, of course, you can’t really get a full sense of the game’s depth from a demo.
I’m sure that if you came across this, you’d be well advised to download the game, and give it a few hours, you know, at a minimum. But, for what it is, I had a lot of fun with it, and I’m looking forward to it coming out.

The sandbox isn’t just a sandbox, it’s TONS of fun for those familiar with the genre. I got excited just playing the demo, and then I immediately went to the full game to see if this was true.
The game is very story heavy, but it does it in an elegant, interactive way. There are no load screens, unless you choose to accept or decline an NPC job, so no time wasters here. The NPCs aren’t static, and there are loads of interesting ways to interact with them. The entire game, both the tutorial and the’real’ game, is fully voiced and well written, and I love the non-linear style of the narrative.
Unfortunately, there’s a huge downside to the game; it’s pretty damn hard. I couldn’t put it down, but I really struggled with some of the later enemies, especially the boss monsters. There’s very little light on in this game, as you start off going through a shadowy dungeon, before emerging in the light to see the skyscraper-like landscape of the city. From there, it’s basically a case of exploring the world as quickly as possible, until the ‘bigger’ enemies kick in. The fight can be a bit bogged down by the combat, though,
