Monitoring news to find out when the next album of your favorite artist will be released can be a tedious and time-consuming task. To overcome this issue, you can use Discographer.
Designed as a simple and straightforward Windows application, it can perform online checkups based on your preferred artists, in order to locate and reveal the latest songs.

Installing this program isn't necessary since you can unzip the downloaded archive and double-click the .exe to reach the main app window immediately. Worth noting is that your library and settings are remembered on exit.
A demo artist is visible in the library to demonstrate how the utility works. To personalize it, you just have to add folders to the collection while keeping in mind that searches made by Discographer are based on the folder names.

As far as other options provided by Discographer are concerned, you can sort the releases by album, singles and EPs, compilation or "Other", perform new scans with the click of a button, and toggle fullscreen mode.
Practical tool for finding new song releases
Although this should be obvious by now, the program is not a download manager because it cannot fetch audio tracks from the Internet. It only provides an information service for artists and songs.
Unfortunately, Discographer cannot auto-monitor the web to notify you of new songs as soon as they are released. Nevertheless, it comes in handy for music lovers.

It is certainly a very good software, maybe a little too simple, but nevertheless. It allows me to find out what’s new in my favourite artist’s music, using the online artist profile link.

It has saved my time in these few days and it has been really simple and easy to use and to understand.

I really like the home screen, is fantastic, the idea is really simple, just having a list of artists with their latest titles from a personal database.

I really like this program, it is well-made, very easy to use and understand, it works perfectly with my needs. Thank you very much for making this, I have saved my time and money.

Discographer’s updates don’t seem quite as frequent as some paid software, which may be part of the reason why you may not have heard of them yet, especially if you’re using Discographer on a PC. That said, we do hear from time to time that people interested in using Discographer have discovered a few key features that they’d like to see added, or even improved, and so we’re always on the lookout for feedback. Thank you for that; as users, we’re all incredibly grateful for any feedback you may choose to provide.

There are also a few things that we might consider improvements. A few points come to mind:

For one, it would be nice to be able to delete songs from Discographer’s library, and we’re working on the ability to tag songs and remove them from the library. However, we don’t yet have this ability quite ready yet.

For another, the web browser integration is definitely part of Discographer’s magic, but it could really use some improvements. For example, the search engine can often take a while to return results, and that can be annoying. We’re working on making the results much quicker, and we’ll eventually end up using a Google custom search as the default search.

We’re also beginning to work on adding our next feature: video content. We

I’ve seen this app before and think it’s a great idea. So I grabbed the latest version from the Microsoft store and installed it.
It seems to work fine and does what it’s supposed to. Only thing is it only works with Windows 10.
