Dead Estate is a first-person survival horror game in which you are the last survivor of a flight crash landing on a (hypothetical) desert island. You are locked in the cockpit and must use your wits to escape the island.
In between lack of wind and limited food supply you have to carefully plan your next move. You can use your wits to overcome a variety of obstacles and traps, but be careful you don’t fall victim to the deceased passengers inside the plane.
Crashing into walls and corners is as important as avoiding undead passengers. Both are important to the survival of your ass.
You have 3 health points and your main weapon is a monocle that you can switch between 3 different modes.
You can:
*“vomit” – the effects are relatively harmless. You can avoid the effects if you manage to control the release.
*“breath” – you can breathe out of your nose. You can also wait as long as the wind is blowing to be sure the effects won’t happen
*“sleek” – this will do some unexpected damage. You will have to be careful to avoid becoming stuck on walls and other objects.
Any of the three modes will give you a little bonus (e.g. healing points), so you need to choose wisely when switching between modes.
Enemies are few and far between and they rarely move much.
They will have different tasks – including moving objects, opening doors, pulling levers and teleporting back and forth.
You will need to devise a plan for how you are going to defeat each of the enemies.
A plan is something you will need to do if you don’t want to get stuck somewhere for a good portion of your short health
The downside to having to plan – this game will have a predictable rhythm and lack of random events (not like Resident Evil).
The plan will depend on your location on the island, what situations you are facing, etc.
If you need to escape from a situation, you can always use the back door (e.g. The exit in your bedroom).
Otherwise it will depend on what you can do to win the game.
When you are cornered you have 2 choices – fight or make use of the stealth approach.
Of course you will be limited by the range of the monocle, but if you pull off a stealth attack, you can avoid certain harms.

Players travel through procedurally generated universes in a spaceship called the “Quantum Flux”.
Using a text-adventure structure players can switch from character views, to stats and a skill bar, to live action combat, and back to the main adventure again by simply typing in the correct command.

Procedurally Generated Worlds:
The universes are set in a world like the late 1980’s, but with multiple solar systems and new, exciting planets.
Players can enter different areas of the universe, each with their own dangerous environment. Players can enter villages or dungeons and many other buildings, all of which with their own randomized trees, items and NPCs.
The universe is literally 4th eddition-able, meaning that elements can be changed as desired, like maps, items, NPCs and so on.
As the game is text adventure-style players are presented with lists of what has to be done and what items to use for various tasks.
Advanced Cyber System:
Advance cyber systems are very complex, with both machines and people that can be controlled to obey commands.
Players explore a whole universe, however to make the game larger they can drop the player onto just one of their many planets and still have a narrative.
A complete cyber system is something that you would only come across in a science-fiction game, and allows to have procedural worlds with interesting stories.
Universe Editor:
To allow the universe to grow to vast sizes the game has a universe editor.
It uses procedural generation to create thousands of different universes.
A level editor allows the player to create different levels, such as caves, houses, shops, battles, dungeons, and more.
Player Skills:
The players skills affect their lives, some skills are not even useful in combat, for example the “drinking” skill or the “carving” skill, however in survival situations the player can use skills as needed.

Units have several stats, in the early stages of the game they have just health, stamina and morale, but as they explore the universe they may find other units that can be equipped and use the skills.
