First and second generation [ edit ]
Prior to AutoCAD, most commercial CAD programs ran on mainframe computers or minicomputers. Although AutoCAD ran on desktop computers, it was developed to run on personal computers with a graphics card. The 1981 Apple II could not support this.
Early versions of AutoCAD ran on the Apple II computer using the Apple Desktop System, a simple graphical user interface (GUI) that worked very similarly to the original Macintosh operating system. The first version was written in Apple’s HyperCard, and then later ported to the Macintosh by Mario Cipolli, then a systems engineer for Apple’s Advanced Technology Group in the United Kingdom. The program ran on a Motorola 6800 series processor with 64K of memory and a 128K word graphics memory. The Apple II was a more powerful microcomputer, but the Apple II graphics system could only produce a gray background with a few lines on it, making it difficult to show a picture on the screen. For a drawing to appear on screen, it had to be in black and white. To allow drawing of color, each line had to be stored in two different shades of gray. This meant that the drawing needed to be complex, and thus relatively slow,

Additional CAD applications that run on AutoCAD are Adobe Illustrator, CorelDRAW, Google Sketchup, MicroStation, MicroStation Workbench, MicroStation Design Suite, Plant3D (discontinued), and vectorworks. They are not official versions of AutoCAD and do not use the same file formats as AutoCAD.

I’ve seen this question asked before, but it didn’t solve my particular problem.
I’m using a custom Google Maps Marker object to do an address search using the Google Geocoding API. The problem I’m having is that I need to be able to specify a specific latitude, longitude, as it’s likely that the latitude and longitude of an address could be anywhere from here-to-there in the U.S.
From the documentation for geocoding, the only way to specify a latitude and longitude is to give the following kind of format:
However, if you don’t specify anything for output, it defaults to the coordinates of the address you’re geocoding, which is fine, but it doesn’t offer any means of specifying a latitude and longitude.
I need to specify a latitude and longitude, so I’m curious if there’s a trick to this.
