The present invention relates to a data communication system, and more particularly to a data communication system that is capable of effectively preventing wiretapping of data communication in such a manner that data signals are encrypted before they are sent to a transmission line.
2. Description of the Related Art
As a method of sending data via a data communication line, the send-and-receive method has been used in the past. However, recently, there is a strong demand for a method of sending data in which the send-and-receive method is replaced with a send-and-receive-and-retract method in which data is sent not only after it is confirmed that the data receiver accepts the data from the sender, but also the data receiver reverses the data immediately after the data has been received to prevent the data signal being eavesdropped.
FIG. 1 is a schematic block diagram for explaining an example of a prior-art system for sending data signals in the send-and-receive-and-retract method.
In the system shown in FIG. 1, the data transmission is carried out by only the send side. However, the receive side handles the decoding process in parallel with the encryption process.
Referring to FIG. 1, A denotes a send-and-receive-and-retract method data encoder, and B denotes a send-and-receive-and-retract method data decoder.
The send-and-receive-and-retract method data encoder A includes an encoder 100 for encrypting data at a low speed and a retraction circuit 110 for retracting the data encrypted at the encoder 100 into itself.
The send-and-receive-and-retract method data decoder B includes a retraction circuit 120 for retrieving the data retracted by the retraction circuit 110 at the encoder 100, a decoder 110 for decrypting the retrieved data, and a memory 130 for storing the data decrypted by the decoder 110.
In operation of the prior art system, data is encrypted by the encoder 100, and is retracted into the encoder 100 before the encrypted data is sent.
