WxPython: Getting first row and column of a grid

I’ve got a grid, with two columns and 4 rows. I want to get the first row and column of this grid, but I’m having problems doing that.
I’ve tried.GetChildren() but the method always returns me four (the size of the grid) children.
Any idea?
