What is U-Smooth?
– U-Smooth is a Signal Smoother Module. It smooths an input from one value to another, when the output changes as well. So, when a control output changes, U-Smooth will smooth the input signal, from the value to the new one.

What do you mean by “smoothness”
– The time that a Signal Smooth Module takes to smooth one input value to the next.
– In U-Smooth, this is given as a control. The less you change the output value, the less output it will take to smooth. To get a higher value than 1 is the default value.
The fastest smoothness is 1 value. This means that when you change the output value, the input signal will change all the way from 0 to the new value, in one value. It takes no time to smooth this.
The slowest smoothness is 10 values. This means that when you change the output value, it will change from one value to the next, and then from the next value to the next etc. It takes the full time given to smooth one value to the next to smooth a 10 values.

What are the default values
– In U-Smooth, the default value is 0. This means that the output will smoothly smooth between 0 and the other value.
If you set the value to 2, it will smooth from 0 to 2, and only then from 2 to the other value.
This means that the output will change exactly 1 value from one value to the next.
To get a higher or lower value than 1, increase or decrease the value.
– If you set the value to 10, it will smooth between 10 and the other value.
– If you set the value to 0.5, it will smooth from 0 to 0.5, and only then from 0.5 to the other value.
This means that the output will change half a value from one value to the next.
To get a higher or lower value than 0.5, increase or decrease the value.

How do you control the smoothness
– Smoothness is controlled by the controls marked “Time” in the U-Smooth main window. You can change the Smoothness value from 0 to 10.
– The fastest smoothness (with value 0), takes no time to smooth the input, when the output changes, because there are no time to smooth.
